HARRISBURG – Pennsylvania Secretary of Agriculture Russell Redding will share an update on the Commonwealth’s agriculture industry and field questions from farmers Friday, March 20, at a breakfast hosted by Rep. Jim Gregory (R-Blair).
The farmers’ breakfast, which is free and open to the first 100 people to RSVP, will be held from 8-10 a.m. at The Bistro at The Village Green, 403 Village Way, Martinsburg.
“At my first farmers’ breakfast last year, I learned a lot about challenges our farmers are facing, particularly those who work in the dairy industry. The agriculture secretary talked about some of the ways milk is packaged, transported and marketed to highlight its role in a balanced diet,” Gregory said.
Farmers who want to attend the breakfast should RSVP by calling 814-695-2398 before March 11.
The event is sponsored by Penn Ag, Professional Dairy Managers of Pennsylvania and Energy Transfer.
